Occassionally you may find that the DESlock+ overlay icons shown in Microsoft Windows Vista are missing. Overlay icons are the icons shown on files or folders to denote special status, and DESlock+ uses these to indicated for example encrypted folders and synchronised folders

If these icons are missing you may find following these steps will return them:
- Open a Command Prompt from the Start menu. In the prompt type the following:
- Type "cd %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local"
- Type "attrib –h IconCache.db"
- Type "del IconCache.db"
- Reboot the PC
NB. If you cannot find Command Prompt, you may type "cmd" in the run box to open the prompt.
When typing commands, omit the quotation marks.
